Fake flowers

I was so opposed to fake flowers, because you never notice the good fake flowers only the bad ones. but i have now decided to go to hobby lobby and get the fake flowers, even up close you cant tell. i didnt realize that they were fake when i looked at a friends wedding pictures till she took me over and showed me them in a box. AMAZING. so if you dont want to do real flowers check them out. im callin my florest today and saying no thanks on your quoat.

Re: Fake flowers

  • I bought a lot of the flowers for my wedding at hobby lobby too, I'm still debating on having my bouquet real though. I'm not sure I can't really decide. My colors are purple and ivory.
  • Anniebee- if you have any doubts about your bouquet, go real.  They are going to be in a ton of photos that you'll probably have framed and hanging in your home.

do you happen to have pictures of her bouquet? Those are my colors as well and would love some inspiration on my own bouquet. I think I might stick to real for my bouquet but for some of the centerpieces I'm thinking fake!
  • Those do look fabulous! I've always hated fake flowers. But I'm coming to realize that we can't afford real flowers for our centerpieces. I always thought they were cheesy. But I think as long as mine and my girl's bouquets are real, I'll be ok with the fake flowers for the centerpeices. My colors are lavender, pale yellow, silver with a touch of white. I'm useing old antique silverplated items like tea kettles, water pitchers, and goblets and filling them with flowers. What do you girls think?
  • My best friend had the same colors for her wedding (purple and ivory). All of her flowers were fake - purchased from Hobby Lobby and assembled by a very crafty and creative friend. They looked fabulous! I could hardly tell that they were fake. In pictures, you can't tell at all. I loved taking my MOH bouquet home with me too.  :)  I will try to find a pic and post it.
