Flowers

Need ideas for flowers!

I am only 19 and I am planning my wedding basically on my own and I have no idea what I'm doing! I am paying for the wedding myself and don't have a lot of help from my parents so sticking to budget is really important! I posted a link with the BM's dress-the dress itself will be buttercup and the ribbon will be white. I'm kind of big on color coordination but I'm afraid I will make it too boring! I was originally thinking yellow flowers for and white for the bridesmaids...blah how lame! Any ideas on what colors I could throw in or what flowers I should use to add some color and make their dresses pop?? No Red. Oh and the wedding is the end of June. Thank you!!

White gerberas are really nice looking.  Some of them are yellowish in the middle and some of them are black.  You can match them with some green leaves.  It really is pretty.  Well, I like it !

If you want color that pops, what about a light pink flower or green? Think about what colors you like to see together. Maybe even a brighter yellow would look nice! Good Luck! :)

    Hello
A couple of questions... are you making them yourself?
How large is your wedding party?  Is the wedding reception inside or out?
    Backyard wedding/reception or banquet hall?

With yellow and white... for a June wedding
I would suggest a deep yellow & white bouquet for you.
Then for the Bridesmaids add in multilcolors such as pink, green and purple.
I always think about how pictures will turn out.  The yellow dress backround would be beautiful with assorted colors.
    Or..
You could reverse this and you have the multicolor bouquet and the bridesmaids yellow and white.
Or...  Everyone could have multicolor bouquets... just small ones for the bridesmaids.
Keep your basic wedding colors yellow and white and just for the flowers add in that punch  of color.  It could be beautiful!

For inexpensive flowers... use carnations, daisies with a few roses.
Carnations and daisies are the least expensive flowers, but will look great in a bridesmaid /bridal bouquet.

For cost savings... try to use the wedding bouquets for centerpieces at the reception.  A tall dollar general  vase with marbles in the bottom... add in a bridesmaids bouquet and you have a nice centerpiece.  Add a few candles and you are good.  Use these for the parent / family tables.  All others put a candle in the same vase and you are good.

Many of these things depend on the style of your wedding.  If you want some more ideas just send me a private message.
    Good Luck!

I am having 5 bridesmaids and I definately do not want to make them myself! I'm really liking the idea of pink and yellow, but not the green ( I live in packer country(WI) and thats all people would think if they saw combo lol). My fiance doesn't want anything that looks like wildflowers( he's so picky!!). I like roses, he doesn't, I like tulips, he doesn't. I like the look of Dahlia's but I'm not sure if they will be available in June? Basically the only flower my fiance and I have agreed upon are Frangipangis, and since we haven't gone to a florist yet, I don't know much about how much they cost or what flowers I should pair them with. I'm hoping I will bug him enough about flowers that he will eventually get sick of it and just let me pick them out! lol :D
