More foliage than flowers

Don't get me wrong, I like flowers, but I love greenery, such as ferns and branches, etc. I guess it reminds me of the heavily wooded hills I grew up in. Any suggestions for an inexpensive DIY bouquet and a couple arrangements? The colors are dark green and gold and dark red accents. It's a winter wedding and I'm open to silk as well as fresh, possibly a fresh bouquet and silk arrangements or something like that. Thanks!

  • I found this website on google images...

http://flowermagician.blogspot.com/2012/04/fabulous-green-black-wedding-bouquet.html is the website... if you are using silk flowers you can get any color pretty much... I could find an exact bouquet with my colors... I picked a bouquet style I liked on google images and printed it out, I took it to Hobby Lobby and picked out all my flowers with the colors I needed them in.... Hope this helps!

  • I'm like you...more of a fan of the greenery and woodland feel.  We're doing some kind of branch centerpieces..I'm not sure exactly what yet, either birch or something of the sort.  You could really even get the branches yourself in the woods if you wanted to save money.  We're hanging glass tealight candle holders from the branches...and then just have a few mason jars full of flowers around the table.  Another idea is succulents, which I love...but they can get a little expensive.
  • Thank you for the ideas. I love branches too!
