flower budget

What should I tell my florist for a budget? I feel like if I tell her a $1000 she will think Im crazy. I need 20 boutiniers and 4 bouqets including mine and I would like 11-22 centerpieces. Is this completely impossible for what Im looking for? Im looking at mainly roses and gerbera daisies for main flowers

Is $1000 you budget?  Can you go higher?

If all you have is $1000 then that's what you need to tell your florist.  Make it known that you absolutely cannot come up with any more than that and see what they can do.
Also, "11-22 centerpieces" is a huge range.  Are you having 11 or 22 tables?  Are you planning on just doing half with flowers and the other half something else?

If the florist cannot do everything in your budget then think of all non-floral centerpieces.  There are tons of ideas on wedding blogs and pictures on Google.

11-22 is a big range, did you mean 11-12 centerpieces?

If they aren't big arrangements, you might be okay.

Bouts will probably be around $7-$10 each. Are you doing corsages for the moms/grandmas?

I am doing pin on crousages for grandmas and moms. Also I will either do 11 or 22 centerpieces depending on how much the floral ones come out. I have 22 tables + head table that need decor.

You should be able to get flowers for about $1000, but you might have to keep it simple, depending on the average costs in your area.

Most wedding calculators will tell you to estimate 10% of your total wedding budget for flowers.  I came in at around 8%.

A good florist should be able to work with whatever budget you have.   But your personal flowers will probably take up half of your budget.

I brought my own vase (1 buck a piece from michaels) for my florist and that cut the price down on the centerpieces (plus they are very small arrangement 6-7 flower a piece)

My flower were 100 and my bridesmaid were 30 a piece

    I was a bit over a 1000 dollars for 25 centerpieces, 6 bridesmaids
8 boutonnieres and 3 corsage, flowers flower girl and 4 large arrangement for the columns

For my head table I am using my flower instead of buying more

some people use the bridesmaid flowers for guest tables since most don't want to keep them

But I would tell them your budget before the appointment, so you don't waste your time with expensive flower shops.

That's not a lot of money to work with if you want very full centerpieces. The bouttonieres should be about $10 each, bouquets can range quite a bit depending on what style and how many flowers you have in them. If you keep things simple, you can get it done for cheaper. Try bringing your own vases, use jars or bottles you already have if you don't have vases. Try using spray roses (mini roses with more blooms per stem) to stretch the budget, but still get the type of flowers you like. You can also try renting vases from the florist (they usually make you pay full price, then refund you when you bring the vases back). Save the more expensive flowers for your bouquet and your fiance's boutonierre; use less expensive ones foe everything else.

If you buy flowers in bulk for DIY centerpieces, you could save A LOT of money!
