Do you trust cosco for your flowers?

Im thinking about going to costco for my bouquet flowers. The flowers im using are just hot pink roses and for my self im looking at a bouquet of about 24. For the bridemaids they would have bouquets of 12. Im thinking i can have then delevered in the morning and we could just quickly wrap them up. (my ceromony is at 2:30)I just want some ribbon tied around them and i've been watching youtube wideos on how to hand tired bouquets.

I was really surprised at 100 stems for 89.00! For my center pieces and buttionairs and corsages i would just go to a florist. I thought that this might be a good way to save abit of money. But then again i'll have a few roses left over so maybe i could just make the buttionairs too! (4 bridemaids 3 grooms men)

Has any one done this before? Also do you think it would be possile to do them the night before, and if so, how should i store them with out them going all wilty?

I am thinking of doing this and was the MOH in a wedding last year that we did all the flowers that way. I read that you should have them delivered at least 48 hours in advance so that they open since they are shipped tight and dry. They need time to drink. My friend actually ran to flower mart first thing in the am (one that florist go to) and bought in bulk. It does take some time to do the wrapping and getting the flowers right. It is harder than it looks. But can be done for sure. I still have mine from her wedding dried and they look good. We did the hand wrap with ribbon.

I have seen the made up arrangements and was not impressed.  I suspect the roses are just fine by the sheet...

There is absolutely NO Way you should cut it that close...  If you want to do them yourself Get them Wednesday , clean off the leaves and thorns and condition them in nice deep warm water until they rehydrate and open up a bit.  On friday morning ( if your wedding is saturday)  make the bouquets, recut the stems again, tie or tape them into place and store them  vases of room temperature water.
Have somebody else wrap the stems the morning of...

When you get them they will be in tight bloom and have been in cold storage so they will be a bit dehydrated at best.    You want those blooms big and fat and happy for the wedding... do that and you will get that...

If you want tighter buds for bouts just condition them in the warm water for about 3 hours then cut them down and keep in the fridge until you work with them.

By the way, do it yourself bouts are very hard on a manicure... so plan ahead.

hope this helps... I just have been there many times ... have fun!

If you have no practice arranging flowers I strongly recommend against it.

1st of all, nothing against Costco.  As a supplier they are excellent.  The flowers are beautiful and because they buy in large quantities they are high quality. They get them from the same importers that the regular florists do, only because they buy in bulk and it's not the only thing they do, they pass the savings onto the consumer.

I did my own personal flowers(after taking several courses on how to arrange them), attendands and boutoniers the night before the wedding(florists make these the night before in order to make sure they stay fresh and last all day). I also had help with my centerpieces from my bridesmaids.

I had planned it out ahead of time to finish everything by thursday night before the rehearsal dinner, but my wedding coordinator ended up leaving a few errands unattended to that I ended up having to take care of which threw off my flower arranging timetable.

Although my arrangements were beautiful, I ended up getting less than 3 hours of sleep before the wedding.

If you absolutely must diy your flowers, my best advice is do your personal flowers yourself and leave the centerpieces to a professional florist.  The reason being is that the florist will charge more for your personal flowers per stem than they will for the centerpieces.  And also do a mock ups first.  The day before your wedding is not the time to wing a bouquet for the first time.

    Good luck to you.
