All white bridal bouquet

I'm wanting some feedback on this idea--I'm thinking about doing an all-white (actually ivory) bouquet. My dress is ivory, I'm going to have ivory shoes, and pearl headband and jewelry. I think it could look really elegant and pretty if my bridal bouquet is all the same color palette as well. Something like this:

I'm going to have the lace from my Mom's dress, also ivory, wrapped around the base of the bouquet. Just wanting some opinions on if I should throw in some color or not!

Keep it all white (or ivory). I think bridal bouquets look better in all white, and add the color to the bridesmaids bouquets. (:

I did an all white bouquet--just realize that your flowers may not be stark white.  Mine certainly weren't and while I was surprised by it, it didn't bother me.  I know now that white flowers are rarely stark white but have an ivory tint to them in most cases.  Here is mine--as you can see the roses are nearly as ivory as the ivory ribbon on the stems:

I'm doing an all-white bouquet also, though I am mixing up the types of white flowers. I think all-white always looks beautiful, classic, and elegant.  You really can't go wrong!

Also, only my FI and I will have white flowers.

I think that it looks really pretty. It is up to the bride as to whether or not she wants colored or white flowers.

Me too! Everything will be ivory or white (flowers). My dress is white, and the BMS dresses are champagne. I want a monochromatic look, but not worried if it isn't all match matchy shades of ivory/white. Like the pic in the PP, if the flowers aren't pure white or the right shade of ivory, it doesn't matter. They are still very beautiful and bridal!

I am actually saving the pic of the bouquet you posted. Love it.!

I am having a more colorful bouquet, with the BP mostly white, but what you have picked is very pretty!  It is whatever you want!

This was my color palette as well---champagne and a mixture of ivory and white with white flowers.  :)

I actually didn't do an all white bouquet. Mine was red rose w/ white calla lilles and because my BM's dresses were red, I gave them the white rose bouquet. It looks really good having the contrast. But it looks beautiful either way.

The bouquet is very elegant. The only worry you might find is that sometimes if you don't break up the color scheme, it can tend to look pretty flat in your pictures. You can't tell where your dress ends and your flowers begin. Especially since you're using all ivory. You might consider tossing in just a hint of color or contrast around the edges of your bouquet to make it stand out from your dress. Just a suggestion. It will be beautiful either way. :-)

white is beneficial because a lot of colorful flowers can bleed onto your dress! this is especially true of red roses, but i still wouldnt hold your flowers (white or not) toooo close to you to avoid any stains from color or water!

i love the all white look. im doing all white for me; my bridesmaids are having white and light pink flowers in their bouquets.

I ahd an all white bouquet but I also has alot of greenery and Bells of Ireland which are green. It made it look not so stark.

I had all red roses for myself because I loved the contrast against my white dress, but I did all white roses for my bridesmaids (against their red dress) and the white bouquets came out just as beautiful.  Go with whatever you want.  If you want a little contrast against the white, have the florist keep some green leaves on the stems, the green will break it up.

It is very traditional.  When I told my Mom that I want a pink boquet she looked at me like I was crazy.

I think all white is overall more elegant and emboidies purity which is perfect for a wedding.

I'm doing all/mostly white too! If I can get anemones with the black center those will go in there- and if not those maybe some pale green hydrangeas.

I'm sure it'll look stunning! I love white bouquets- all the textures and the different shades of white really work together. =)

I think that it looks great, but my mom said something to me about this when I was looking at flowers.  She had all white flowers for her wedding and she said she was disappointed with the pictures because you couldn't see the flowers against the dress.  Now, those pictures were 33 years ago, haha, but it's still a good point!  I'm sure your photographer can get more contrast and shadows, or maybe use different variations of ivory and creams in the flowers (there are many different shades of white!).  Just a thought.

I'm planning to do a mostly white bouquet with just a very small amount of disperssed yellow flowers.  My bridesmaids will have mostly yellow bouquets with a little bit of white flowers.  I think it looks gorgeous either way though, if you want to keep it all white, then do it!  It's a very elegant bouquet.

I'm doing an all-while (ivory, cream, etc.) bouquet also. And my fiance's bouteneirre is going to be white also. Our bridal party has plenty of color (orange, plum, ...think fall!), so being all black (tux) and white will make us stand out.

Sounds absolutely beautiful. I would sit down with your florist and bring a few dress swatches to check how things will look, so you have no surprises on the day of. You may decide that a few hints of color look better or aren't necessary at all. Best wishes!!!

i think it sounds amazing in person, but consider looking at pics where the bride is one glowing orb of white to really feel if you will like this look in print.

Maybe adding some sparkle to your boquet will be good to pick up some light in pics. Try crystals or maybe some light handed glitter or petal dust for a shimmering look to an all white ensemble.

PS:  White Roses tend to turn brown at the ends VERRRY quickly.  I've had it happen a few times for table flowers and have seen it in several bridal boquets.

Ask the florist for a suggestion on greenery which complements your bouquet.  Good luck!
