Anyone had the crazy idea of ordering PREARRANGED centerpieces from

Has anyone ever ordered centerpieces from teleflora or 1800flowers?
And I mean the ones that are NOT under wedding section.
I feel like they're cheaper than hiring a florist...
Especially because I'll be having huge 12ppl round tables.

I am thinking about ordering the florist delivered ones couple months ahead
to see if they're right style and right size...

and then if they're satisfiable, get the 1-2 days before the wedding
and bring them to the venue in the morning of to set up.

I feel like I can have really elegant pieces at a relatively low cost

you will recieve these in a box unasembled ..1800-flowers will be sent this way....be prepared.....unless it say specifically"florist delivered"(only the teleflora)  ....so unless you are good at floral design you will be disappointed

I have not heard fantastic things about these.  Sometimes you have to unwrap and cut them yourself to arrange.  At that point you might as well hire a forist.  Best of luck

I'm a wedding florist and have worked in traditional flower shops.  If you order flowers from teleflora or ftd, then your order just gets sent to the florst closest to your location and they will make the arrangement as close as possible to the arrangement you've choosen if they don't ahve the exactl flowers.  This means you might have the same flowers but in a close color or the same colors but not the same flowers.  The container that the arrangment is in is the same way.  If they don't have it, they'll use something similar.  My suggestion, go to a local florist and talk to them in person about your wedding flowers.  That way you know the florist, they know what you want and you get what you want.  No guessing games!

teleflora and 1800 flowers have pretty pictures but its hardly ever what you will get.   their recipies are for about half the flowers they show in the photos ( a one sided photo and arrangement ) and the florist is rquired to fufill the arrangements to the recipie.
What happens is on the picture they put all the flowers in the front and leave the back empty... that doesnt work if you want an all roungd arngement..

go back to hitting the pavement insead of the internet, you will get a much better reslt by meeting with your designer and befriending her or him.
