I am also doing my own flowers.  Has anyone used California Flower Growers before?  They seem to have the cheapest price for hydrangeas.

If you have a local wholesaler, it is a much better way to go.  Many will sell direct to the public, others require a sales tax id which if you don't know anyone that has one it is fairly easy to get, at least in Texas.  On the tax id application you can call yourself a florist since basically that's what you'll be doing.  You will have to pay the taxes to the state at the end of the year since they wholesaler will not charge you tax. 

You can google wholesale flowers and your city and should be able to find them.  They are alot cheaper  and have a huge variety to choose from.

Only thing I would warn about buying from a local flower wholesaler is that you dont know how long the flowers have been cut for when you buy them...it could be anywhere from that day to a week ago! They just dont last as long!
