tissue paper flowers?

Somebody here showed me a really cool Martha Stewart how-to on tissue paper flowers.  I'm wondering how soon before the day I should make them.  I feel I should do it sooner than the night before, just because I'll probably be doing a lot the night before.  Advice?

I attempted to make pomanders of the tissue paper flowers and each pomander took about 3 hours. Start NOW, they are awful. I actually found out it costs the exact same to use real flowers for my pomanders as it does for the tissue paper ones, so I'll pass on making any more (I am getting my flowers wholesale from a friend who works in the floral business).

I didn't make these flowers but my advise to you is to try to get everything done ahead of time. You really won't want to be finishing projects the night before. Time goes in hyper speed. And you will be pulled in so many directions you won't beable to sit down and do a project.

    I made tissue pomanders. PIB.

Definitely start way earlier than the night before. They are VERY time consuming and they are something that can be done months in advance.

Cool, thanks y'all! I know theyre pretty time consuming just from looking at how to make them. Fortunately i plan on making small arrangments lol. I imagine bouquets will be the hardest. I guess I'll come asking about corsages when I get to them. Thanks again!

i too made tissue paper flowers for my girl.  i'm surprised that people found it was the same cost as real flowers!  i think all in all, i spent about $7 per person.

but they are time consuming, that's for sure.  i was a bit overzealous and made mine a good year in advance.  they're holding strong and look incredible still!
