Flowers

Willow Branches

To try and cut costs as far as centerpieces go, we are alternating florals on half the tables and tall clear vases that will hold willow branches, on the others.  I need to add something to the branches, because alone they look too plain!!  Any ideas?

You could spray paint the branches to match your color scheme, maybe with sparkles afterward (while the paint is wet, sprinkle fine glitter on it) and use fishline tied to crystals to hang some crystals on the branches. If the the branches are strong enough, and the hall allows, you could do hanging votives.

Because it's after Xmas, a lot of websites and stores are selling off their stock. You might be able to find some glittery garlands to drape on/around the willow branches. Or, depending on your theme, maybe use ribbons  in your colors and do bows & draping of the ribbon.

I love this website, and they are fairly cheap and have tons of ideas and things you can order like beading (get the beaded curtain and cut to your desired lengths, it's cheaper), plus they also sell beaded wedding trees, so you can get some ideas. http://www.shopwildthings.com/

The DIY and Budget chat boards are also good sources of info

    Good luck.
