Floating flower arrangement for pool?

Our venue has a very nice pool in the middle of the area we will have the ceremony/cocktail hour, so I thought it would be nice to float a few floral arrangements in the middle (owner said it's fine). But I haven't been able to find any really helpful "how to's" online. Has anyone ever done this or have any suggestions? I am trying to DIY my flowers so I want to see if this is even feasible.

I got the tip... use a sheet of white styrofoam underneath... works perfectly...
will keep it all from sinking or getting too wet...

Get "greening pins" or old fashioned hairpins to secure the flowers into the styrofoam... or you can do a full drippy arrangement in Oasis and a regular plastic container and tape it to the styrofoam...

Just use the styrofoam as a float... looks and works just fine... cover the edges of course...
Really beautiful to use battery operated lights mixed into... fun stuff!

When I worked in a florist we had to do arrangements for a pool too.  We actually went to a pharmacy and bought some of those inflatable doughnuts that you use to sit on (I know it sounds funny but they are just small innertubes Smile).  We then hot glued plastic plates to the the doughnuts and then added oasis (which is a floral foam that you soak in water) which we then taped to the plate.  After all that was done we were able to make the arrangements on the doughnuts.  They worked very well and stayed afloat all night.

Also if you want large arrangements, like maybe three, you can buy children size boggie boards and make the arrangements on them.  I think floating candles would also look really nice and romantic.
