Sola shell flowers

Anyone know what happens to sola shell flowers when they get wet? Thinking about putting them in a vase with water for a centerpiece. Bad idea..?

I purchased sola flowers for my floral wreaths. I haven't put them in water, but I'd suggest getting a small package and doing a mock up of what you want to do to see if they hold up. They are held together in the back by string wrapped tightly around the base, I don't think there is any glue.

they are sometimes referred to as balsa wood flowers as well and they are permeable.  As long as they are not dyed with coloring, you should be fine!
