Unique Bouquet idea inspired by Glee?

Maybe this has been done before...but the recent episode of Glee gave me a neat idea and I would like some input.

First of all I've been debating the whole "who will walk me down the aisle" question.

On Glee, a bunch of people gave Emma single roses as she walked down the hall and by the end... she had a nice bouquet.

So I was thinking maybe I can have important people in my life each hand me a single rose(or maybe another type of flower) as I walk down the aisle.

Does this sound like a neat idea... or a complete disaster?

thanks for your thoughts!

  • I think this could work but just be careful with the roses and make sure they are cleaned up and thorns removed; it would be awful if you somehow got cut and started bleeding because of those rose stems
  • If you do this, keep in mind that the bouquet isn't going to be put together very well and is probably going to look sloppy in all of your pictures.

  • tldh I'm glad you pointed that out... my sister and I were just talking about that and trying to devise a way to make it work.

What about doing it in reverse?  Have your florist add x number of long stem roses that can be pulled from your bouquet (maybe have them ringing it) and hand them to the special people in your life as you make your way down the aisle.

  • Brooke Shields did that years ago... Very nice... Have a ponytail holder to band them tgether with and a few with ribbons tied on so that during your ceremony one of your attendants can pretty it up.  Have your attendants sit down and do a hand off... A very sweet deal indeed!
