peacock blue - need flower color advice!!

Hi everyone!

I really am stuck. I have been pretty sure what I want in all aspects of my wedding except my flowers.

My dress is "candlelight" (whatever that means... just a variation of ivory I guess!) and my bridesmaids dresses are peacock blue.. its pretty much a teal that tends to be more on the blue side. Wedding is in May and the fabric is chiffon and they are floor length gowns.

I am meeting with a florist in a couple of weeks and I really want an accent color or something with the flowers but am completely at a loss. I was thinking maybe purple.. but I don't want it to get too dark. Any ideas would be so helpful! I would love to see your pictures if you have them!! :)

  • Teal and pale pink has a fun preppy vibe
Teal and red looks too close to Christmas to me.
Teal and burgundy has a rich autumnal look
Teal and coral has a fun tropical quality
Teal and orange has graphic punch
Teal and yellow is a classc combination
Teal and white is very traditional
Teal and ivory is understated elegant
Teal and lavender is unusual but I think it would work.
Teal and purple reminds me of peacocks

I would pair coral or lavender (or Both!) with the teal for an unusual look.

Teal and fuschia would look really good, and it would be great for spring. Otherwise, blush pink, coral, yellow, mint green or lavender as PP suggested.
