Hydrangeas, Oriental Lilies and Roses... Help!!

We are having a black, white and red wedding and I am having trouble gathering inspiration. I am thinking that I might have an idea of what I want

Bridesmaids with white hydrangea bouquets

Centerpieces with bubblebowl with one white Oriental Lily and red glass rocks

The problem I have is me! I was thinking white hydrangeas and oriental lilies with red roses. Has anyone done something like this before? And does it sound like it will work? Because I am worried it will look dumb, but I really wanted red in my bouquet!

I am very open to suggestions and ideas. Like I said, I'm lacking inspiration...

  • Hydrangeas + oriental lilies + roses will make for a very large bouquet. Nothing wrong with that, especially if your ceremony isn't too long.

Here's hydrangeas + roses + peonies, with only the roses in a diferent color:

Same idea, except lilies + roses + tulips:

Here's what I've been thinking, after the photographer I linked to got a bit uppity with me (presuming what my wedding colors were, telling me what wouldn't look good): All flowers look lovely. If you think about it, flowers as decoration are about unique to weddings. Only very fancy business/charity events decorate with flowers. So, any flowers we choose will be "special" enough, because all weddings and all flowers are special.
  • I did hydrangea, lillies and roses for my centerpieces.  Maybe this will help you visualize.

  • i am not trying to push my business on you (im in nevada and you are in florida), but i have made that exact bouquet!!! i am an event florist, and had a bride with that exact request! it turned out stunning!!!!

check my website WWW.lecielevents.com.  check out the blog called "Jenny and Remy"  for the bridesmaids we did callas instead of hydrengea, but you can see the bridal bouquet!

if you like the wedding bouquet, print up a pic, and bring it to your florist for them to mimic!

  • <div>I love black, white, and red bouquets! I think that it is very classic.  Here is an example of one that I made that is in the same color scheme:</div><div>
