Silk Flowers

My friends have already given me "the look" when I mentioned I might get silk flowers.  I'm not having flower centerpieces and we're not having bridal/groom parties so we don't need anything but the bouquet and boutonniere.  Would it make sense to spend $ on fake flowers when we don't need a lot?

We're getting married in October - will gerba daisies be available then?  I just saw this bouquet and FELL in LOVE with them.  It's fake but still $150.

What do you ladies think?

Silk flowers can be just as expensive as real flowers. I'd suggest contacting a florist and setting up a consultation, just to see what the cost for real flowers would be.

I'm not sure what the green flowers in that bouquet are, but gerbera daisies are on the cheaper side and I think that you could get a bouqet made from real flowers for much cheaper than $150 (but, I could be wrong. Prices might be higher where you live). My bouquet will be bigger than that and contain more flowers (including calla lilies, which are pricy), and it's only $100.

Don't be afraid to go with silk flowers, though, if you find them to be cheaper than real flowers. With only the bouquet and bouts (though, would you be giving your parents/grandparents corsages/bouts?), no one will notice/care if they are real or not.

I love gerbera daisies, too! If they fit more into the look for my bouquet I'd have put them in, but I'm happy with what I went with. Good luck!

I think that if that is a picture of the bokay, you are getting ripped off.......you can do real flowers for that amount of $  , only problem is that those flowers do not come in the colors that are in that bokay.

They're very pretty! I do think you can get a bouquet for that price though.. I'd contact a florist to hear their quote and then go from there.

Okay, I will def get prices from a florist.  It would be nice to have real flowers but just didn't think they'd be around the same price (or cheaper) than the bouquet above.  I guess I'll find out in a few months Cool
