Menu question

Hey guys! I was worried about my menu for the wedding because I only had 1 main dish that's chicken. So I started looking at my caterers menu and one of her packages includes brisket with aujus and 2 more appetizers for $600 more. I keep getting different opinions from the family, so I wanted to see if you guys thought it was worth it.

My current menu:

Hors D' Oeuvres
-Spinach mozzarella stuffed chicken breast with alfredo drizzle
-Tri colored stuffed tortellini sautee with red wine marinara & alfredo sauces on the side
-Vegetables including zucchini, yellow squash, long stem green beans, carrots
-Garden Salad with Cracked Pepper Ranch and Romano/Parmesan Vinaigrette
-Slow rise yeast rolls, assorted artisan rolls & butter

For an extra $600 (for 150 people) I can add:

2 more Hors D' Oeuvres
-Sliced Brisket Roast with Aujus

What do you think? Is that worth it?

That breaks down to about $4 more per person... I don't think that's a bad deal for what you are getting with that. I think it's always good to have a second meat option.

I think two main course options - the chicken or the pasta - would be plenty.  As a guest, I'd be fine with that, as long as the portions are decent sized :)  That sounds really yummy!

I think the menu you already have sounds delicious.  I'd be happy being served that.

Honestly, I think the menu sounds fine but I don't think 2 appetizers is enough.  JMO.

Your menu sounds great!  Although if you have the extra $600 I don't think your guests would be upset with another option :)

I think your menu sounds amazing.  Do you have some big eaters that might like having that other option?  I will say I agree with Wendi--that is a good deal though and it might not be a bad place to put another $600.  I would probably do it.

We did 2 passed appetizers and it was perfectly fine. There were literally tons.  We had crab cakes and these bacon wrapped chicken things.

ETA:  ...but then again we did our photos beforehand and the reception venue was at the same place as the ceremony....so we were introduced within 15 minutes I'd say.

Thanks for all of your suggestions!

We don't have any big eaters, just really picky ones. FI probably wouldn't eat it, but he's extremely picky & said he probably would end up not eating anything even if I picked the second option. I figured if someone's reaaaally picky, they can eat the kid's meal which is chicken tenders & mac & cheese. :)

We are doing the same Tiffany, doing our pictures before & it's all at the same place.

I still can't decide... All of the parent's say it's not necessary, but it is a good value since just adding 1 extra appetizer is $2.50/pp. So 2 additional appetizers & the brisket for $4 extra is a pretty good deal. Other people I ask that aren't our parents say we should have another meat.

We only had one meat (beef) and I was worried about it too originally.  We also had chicken tenders on the buffet.  We didn't hear any complaints.  $600 is alot--that is about what it would have cost us to go to a plated meal and Ben said no.  I think since you are having meat and pasta and aren't worried about the apps, I wouldn't do it.
