I need to make a song list for DIY DJing

I cannot afford a band or dj and have decided to do it myself. My friend has offered to be an announcer for the evening and to press play on the iPod, but I don't know what songs to put on the iPod. So, I want to know what your favorite dance songs are. If you could resond with your favorite song(s) and who sang them (if you know) I would be very grateful. Please try not to repeat what others have said, though, unless it is a song that you REALLY like or it got everyone up and dancing at your reception. Thanks.

I don't know what your guests like. So I may be absolutely sounding stupid here... just humor me.
However, what is on your iPod right now? That's what you should base it off of- I think its more about your enjoying it.
    Just a few rules:
-If you have older guests, nix the swearing and throw in songs like boogie woogie bugle boy of company b, and even the more modern zuit suit riot.
-add in those annoying but popular fad dances... electric slide, cha cha slide, and if you tolerate them the chicken dancce and the hokey pokey.
-think of your guests and toss in a few songs that everyone will like
    -keep away from screamo
-have about 1/4 slow dances at most

Watch tv shows with weddings. pay attention to those songs.
try a google search of wedding play list. then try wedding playlist. the space makes a difference.

    I hope I helped
