Father Daughter Dance - Unconventional Rock / Alternative Songs?

I have looked for MONTHS for the perfect father-daughter dance song to no avail.  My dad loves country, but I do not.  We both like rock like Tom Petty / Willie Nelson / Beatles, etc. but I can't find a decent song to decribe our bond, which is a close one.

Any suggestions would be very hepful!

I've looked at nearly every list online I can find, so I'm taking it to the people!

Please help!

    I am in the same boat!  My dad & I both like rock, but something too fast or too slow might be awkward to dance to...  I'm stuck!!!

    What about "Have I Told You Lately" by Van Morrison?  Not sure if it's unconventional but a very sweet song.

    My dad is a HUGE Rolling Stones fan, so it has been decided for a long time that our dance will be the to Stones- Wild Horses.

    Yeah I def. like wild horses, too!  I'm still keeping it in the back of my mind...Congrats on finding your song!

    And I love Van Morrison, but can't seem to find that "perfect" song from him.

    My dad and I are dancing to Wildflowers by Tom Petty. Took me a long time to find a song that wasn't a love song or too cliche.

    Wildflowers is at the top of the list right now....I love that song!  I'm glad to hear you are using it because I wasn't sure if it fit for the occasion well enough.  Thanks for all the input!
