Rehearsal ---do they play the bridal processional?

The last wedding I was in was at least 7 years ago.  I don't remember if, at the rehearsal, the dj plays the bridal processional as they rehearse walking down the aisle?  For some reason I really don't want my fiance to hear what I'm walking down the aisle to until the big day.

Then don't play anything. I personally never heard of the DJ/ musician being there for the rehearsal. Just walk down musicless. HTH!

depends on you and your musicians.  if you need to work out timing with your bridal party, then sometimes they'll show up and play the music.  otherwise its usually musicless.

I had never heard of the DJ being there for the rehearsal either, but our DJ mentioned that he always goes to the rehearsals, so idk.  My wedding day coordinator is on vacation this week and she knows them personally, I'll have to ask her what that's all about!  The more I think about it I don't see where the bridesmaids would have to coordinate with the music, we are getting married at a golf course outside and they will all be driven up by golf carts, and when the music starts...well, I just figure they'll start walking lol.

    Thanks Ladies!

We put all of our songs on a CD so everyone knows exactly when to walk down. That may be a possibility. You don't have to put your entrance song on there.

If the song is recorded so there's no tempo issue, it doesn't need to be played at the rehearsal. [If you were having live music and the musician needed to mark down the speed that feels natural to your bridal party, that'd be another story.] I might measure the aisle and practice at home, though. You don't want the song to end before you get to the front, or for most of it to still be playing after you're already at the front.
