Not very close father - dance?

Hi everyone

My mom and dad are divorced. I'm much more closer to my mom than my dad. I am having them both walk me down the aisle. I need a father / daughter dance - we aren't as close as I wish we were. Not to get into great detail - I dont know a SAPPY "you were always there for me whenever I needed you " song - becuse lets face it - he wasn't always there for me.

Does anyone have any song suggestions that show how much my dad really does mean to me and that I love him and glad he is part of my day without the cheesy ?

What kind of music do you like??

Im not sure how much help Im going to be, but I am in pretty much the same situation. The only difference is I am dancing with my mom instead of my dad. My mom is my best friend, and I picked a song from a band that I know we both love.

Yes I was going to dance with my mom as well.

Any kind of music except country.

i'm from a divorced family as well....we used "the way you look tonight" by sinatra.  we did a combined mother/son father/daughter dance and it worked out perfectly without being overly cheesy or too heavy on the "daddy's little girl" stuff.
