invite other couples up??

Ive been thinking about our first dance...are any of you planning on inviting other couples up to dance halfway or so through the song? or just leaving the entire thing to you and FI?

Our first dance no, but we are doing a seperate  anniversary dance! To start all couples join us on the dance floor and the DJ/MC will announce every couple that joins us will give us luck/well wishes, etc. Over the course of the song the DJ will mentioned years of marriage/together (starting with 2, 5 10, etc.). Ultimately the couple who has been married the longest ends up as the last couple standing with the bride & groom. We did this at my cousin wedding and my mom's aunt & uncle who have been married for over 50 years were given a bouquet for recognition!It really is great to watch!!! HTH!

during our bridal party dance about half way through the song the bridal party is going to fan out and go grab people out of the audience...i've seen this done at other weddings and its a lot of fun!  and it gets the dance floor packed!

Our song is 6 minutes long so we are going to atleast have our wedding party join us. Haven't decided on if we want to invite other guests up as well..

No, the first dance is just us.  We will have an aniversary dance though.  We'll be the first ones on the dance floor after the band takes a break and so to get people out on the dance floor, they'll call people out, "if you 've been married for one year, two years, 5, 10, 15, etc so that at the end the floor is filled!
