Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music Discussions

music question

Ok, my fiance an I are wanting to have a small wedding in a banquet hall type place.. as far as the music (here comes the bride son) goes, how does that work? Do we hire somebody to play it?
I'm sorry if I sound ignorant.. I just have no clue where to start!
Thanks!

If you are having your ceremony and reception in the same place, then yes, you will need to find someone to either play the songs you want to use or play them from an ipod or something.

As for the reception, typically people either hire a dj and or a band. But it is all up to you and what you can afford.

Depending on the services offered by the banquet hall, they might have someone would could play the processional song on the piano, or they may have preferred vendors that they could recommend. I mean, places that host a lot of weddings have certain companies they recommend for music, catering, and flowers. I would call and ask about any services they offer or see if they have any suggestions!

If you book a band or dj, most give you the opportunity to book them for the ceremony as well.  A lot of dj's have traditional ceremony stuff in their library.
