Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music Discussions

Ceremony Music

We are having a low-budget wedding therefore we are using a pre-made song list that will be on our ipod.
I am downloading the music that will be played through our entire wedding from itunes.
I am trying to figure out the best music to play for the different parts of the wedding.

1. Does every different aspect of the wedding require a different song?
2. What should the bride walk down the aisle to?
3. What kind of songs should be played while lighting of the unity candle?

The hardest part of this for me is because my Fiance's family is more of a 70's - 80's style music and mine is more of the Country genre so its hard trying to please both with our choices. HELP!

If you can all compromise on traditional music, this website has a great selection:

    1. Does every different aspect of the wedding require a different song?  No you can have as many or as few as you want.  we had 2 songs.
    2. What should the bride walk down the aisle to?  whatever song the two of you want,  We used Storybook love from the Princess Bride.
    3. What kind of songs should be played while lighting of the unity candle?  Again, what ever you want.

The two of you pick out and pay for the wedding day; therefore you please the two of you.   No matter what you do; someone will have an adverse opinion.  That is their opinion.   Work to make it beautiful and enjoy the day.

We were going to have a string quartet version of Eternal Flame by the Bangles during our unity candle but ended up not doing one because our wedding was supposed to be outdoors and we were worried it would blow out.
