Wedding Night Hotel?

Hello Ladies,

I am looking for some suggestions for a wedding night hotel either in Downtown Fort Worth, or really close to the DFW airport.  Cost is not a huge issue, but I would really like it if the hotel either had a restaurant in it or there were restaurants really close to it.  We would like to have a brunch type thing with some of the OOT guests before we fly out for our honeymoon.

Also, any hotels that do not have a western theme to them would be a huge plus!

Thanks!

Re: Wedding Night Hotel?

  • I'm staying at the Belmont Hotel in Dallas, which is connected to Smoke restaurant. We are having brunch there the morning after the wedding, so all we have to do is walk downstairs!
I would check it out, even though it might be a little far for you.

Yes, I believe Dallas is too far away for us, but thank you for the suggestion.

I first replied thinking you *wanted* western-themed. Oops. Okay, for non-western themed, I know there's the Embassy Suites, the Hilton, the Omni, Ashton, and the Sheraton. (Those hotel names are clickable links so you can check them out).

I haven't stayed in any of them, so I can't actually speak to which is closest to good food or which one is best. We ended up going to the Holiday Inn Express to save money (which was still fine, but not within walking distance of many restaurants as far as I can recall).
  • There is an Omni in Fort Worth...That's pretty much all I know of.

  • I like the Ashton and it has a restaurant that serves brunch.
  • Omni in Fort Worth is great and they have a late-night room service menu. For DFW, the Grand Hyatt isn't too bad. There is also the Hilton in Southlake.
  • The Grand Hyatt is connected to the airport, and it looks like they have a few restaurants. "The Met" looks like it would offer brunch.

I also like the Ashton, if price isn't an issue.

  • I like any Homewood Suites, because they have free breakfast included and they are really nice for guest to stay at, with seperate suites attached to each hotel room. You could just meet downstairs at a designated time.

If you want something more coordinated then any of the suggestions above sound good.
  • Thanks for all the suggestions!  This has definitely helped narrow my search :-)
