I want to walk down the aisle to this song. I think it's absolutey beautiful and makes me cry everytime I hear it. I think the lyrics can explain, at least to some degree, how every bride feels walking down the aisle. However, I fear that I will face years of ridicule being that it is the song that Bella walks down the aisle to in the Twilight movie. What do you all think?

I voted "everyone will call you Bella" but only because I wanted just "no". I've never even seen the movie. But the first impression I get from tha song is sadness. It always makes me want to cry when I hear it (and not in a happy way). It sounds like someone is leaving (to me) and they are sad and saying that she would love him for 1000 years regardless of him being gone. That's just my opinion. If you really love it, then do it. Or maybe the instrumental.

It doesn't actually play when she walks down the aisle. It's only played at the very end of the credits.

If this is the song you hear playing when you walk down the aisle to your FI, then I think you should use it. Maybe take PP's advice and use the instrumental version. It really has a beautiful melody and makes me tear up too.

First off, thanks for the reponses. I should have mentioned it will be played on an acoustic guitar, instrumental only. 

Also, I only put "everyone will call you Bella" instead of no because I thought it was funny, apparently not lol

FWIW im walking down to clair de lune. FI and I just simply LOVE that song. we're doing a vegas honeymoon so hopefully we'll get a lot more 'oceans 11' than 'twilight' ....but who cares? its only one part of our day =P

I personally love that song and I wish I had used it for our first dance.  It makes me teary because I heard it for the first time a few days before our wedding.  The lyrics sort of describe how I felt when I met my husband and has that "I finally found you" element to it.

I say go for it.  The acoustic guitar version would be lovely and I would think a lot of people wouldn't recognize it.  I don't know about where you live, but that song is not in heavy rotation on the radio here.

I'm in the same dilemma! Except my FI thinks the chorus sounds sad to him, he doesn't quite get it lol. So I may be using the instrumental as well, it was the first song I could seriously see myself walking down the aisle to. Do what makes you and your FI happy, it's your day!

Personally, I just associate that song with the radio now since they play it ALL the time here. It is a really gorgeous song though, so I voted yes. I especially like that you're doing an acoustic version. I don't think you have to worry about people thinking that you're a Twilight nut!

I am having my string trio play this for my bridal party processional! I thought about using it for myself, but my FI really wanted something else - music from the wedding in legends of the fall. They both sound so pretty on strings!!
