Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music Discussions

HELP ME PLEASE

We are getting married June 25th, are guests will range from late 20's to 80's. Everyone who knows me knows I love to dance and both my fiance and I are big hip-hop fans. I want to make sure to keep everyone on the dance floor all night and not offend anyone..............suggestions please????

P.S. His family more of the motown fans, my fam more of the top 40 fans

Your DJ will know how to read the crowd and just give him/her the heads up on the range of music that you'll want

My guests are a huge mix of age ranges as well as diverse music tastes ie we have some people who refuse to listen to anything but country and some who refuse to listen to anything but hip hop

I don't have a DJ but have put together a playlist of a huge variety of music - something for everyone.
I'll keep the lighter songs for earlier in the evening and break out the dance and hip hop mostly later

That is definitely something that your DJ will take care of. That's what he is for!

I was a wedding coordinator for quite awhile and I can tell you know that unless you play the extremes of music (being hard core rap or screaming rock/metal) you won't offend anyone. Simply tell your DJ that you don't want any cursing or club music, etc. It is his job to make this party stress free :)

    Goodluck!

    Ditto to the pp!

Your DJ should be able to handle all genres and requests!
