Who dances first mother and son or father and daughter?

I've seen two weddings where the M/S and F/D dance at the same time. That wouldn't work for us because we couldn't agree on one song, so I am dancing with my daddy first and then he will dance with his mommy. I'd say that's probably the best thing to do. I don't have a reason for it really, it just seems to "flow" better.

I think it's more conventional for the father/daughter dance to be first, especially if dad is forking over most of the money for the wedding. If I thought that my dad and my fiance's mom would like the same song, I would try to do both at once though.
