Ceremony Meeting Question

So I am having my solo violinist meeting Saturday with Steve Vance. He asked what I would like to accomplish at the meeting. Well heck if I know. What am I suppose to accomplish at the first meeting with a possible soloist? Any ideas. Have you guys done this yet?

Does he attend the rehearsal?
Prices?
Contract?
Final payment due date?

The questions you need to ask are similar to the ones I am assuming you asked different venues you were/are considering.

Some soloists like to know in advance if you have the expectation of hearing them perform (live) for you, or receiving a demo CD, which they will need to make ahead of time.  Some people want to know how long certain songs will be.  If you have any notions of asking for specific beyond the questions MissySue put in PP (which are ALL good questions to ask!), then you may want to give your musician a heads-up so he can be prepared.  It's courteous to let the musician know ahead of time if you're expecting something like that.  Good luck!
