Number of DJs/Hosts?

We met with a DJ last week and after talking to us and getting an idea of what we wanted, he said we probably only needed one person at the wedding (most of the packages included a DJ and a host that does all the announcements and whatnot). We came back to his parents with this information (they are helping us with the music) and their opinion was that having a DJ and a host would be better, but that the decision was up to us. I don't recall going to a wedding with two people taking care of music/dancing, but I'm not a very good observer and have a terrible memory; also his mom recalls his bar mitzvah DJ being not-so-great because he was by himself, and for his sister's bat mitzvah and sweet 16 had 2 people and it worked out much better. We're going to wind up with somewhere around 150 guests, so I'm starting to think maybe there should be two people - I figure the worst case scenario is that one guy doesn't have to do that much. What is your opinon on this/what would you do?

We are having a DJ, MC (Master of Ceremonies--he is the one who does all the announcing, etc.) and an AV tech guy (that came with the package we got) he handles the lightiing, etc.

I personally think that having both a DJ and MC is needed. My Dad and Uncle have owned a DJ company for years, and events always run smoother with 2 people versus one. I guess it depends on your needs (type of music, flow of the night, etc.) and amount of guests.
