I plan on taking my next weekend at White Rock since I will be getting married there.  I'm also thinking about the Arbortuem or Avanti Fountain Place in Downtown.

There is also the Stockyards in Fort Worth, the museum district in Ft. Worth, or the water gardens in Fort Worth.  I believe the best places in Dallas have been mentioned.

FYI--if you choose the Canals at Las Colinas you  need to get a $50 permit (make sure you do or you could get kicked out). I have the info if you need it.
