FI and I booked five extra cabins (all that were left) which are within walking distance of our ceremony/reception. They sleep 1-4 ppl. We had to pay for all six upfront and 3 nights' worth. Guests will reimburse us.
They are only 1BR cabins with a sleeper sofa in the living room. All their literature says these are 1-4 people only. In fact the 1-2 pp has a rate and the 2-4 pp has a rate.
"Our policy on occupancy is a maximum of four people in a one bedroom cabin and a maximum of six people in a two bedroom cabin."
My sister wants to stay here with her boyfriend and 4 children - that's 6 ppl. They'll fly in with a blow up mattress. One child is a baby, and the other 3 are ages 6-13.
I didn't feel right telling her it was OK to break the rules. It's all on my credit card so I'm kind of responsible. If she were doing it on her own, I wouldn't care so much. She said she'll just lie about the # of ppl, but the office is so close to everything I don't know how you can hide it for 3 nights.
Would you have done the same? I pointed her to some other cabins that are bigger and had no mention of people limits. They are 17 miles away from the wedding, but only 4 miles away from the Friday night welcome dinner.
