Rehersal dinner

Any ladies get marries at Holy Trinity Church on oaklawn avenue and wouldn't mind sharing where they did their rehersal dinner?

My guests are actually staying in downtown dallas so perhaps near there or near oaklawn avenue would be good places.

Re: Rehersal dinner

  • MSeale got married there.  I'll message her and see if she'll respond.
  • What feel are you going for?  I did a Google search for restaurants around Oak Lawn and got this:
    Anniversary

  • We were thinking either mexican or italian but were hoping that the restaurant had a private area.
  • What about the Uptown El Fenix?

I got married on Oak Lawn and we had ours at Blue Mesa at Northpark. I really wanted to have it at Mattito's on Routh. The Pappadeux on Oak Lawn has a great private room. Maggianos at Northpark for Italian.
  • Wild Salsa is a new mexican restaurant in downtown that's very good with private areas. Avanti is my favorite italian restaurant in the uptown area. They have an outdoor patio that they have enclosed that can turn into a private room. There are very few restaurants around the Oak Lawn area that I'd recommend except for Dish, Parigi, Uncle Julios, and a few others that aren't hit and miss.

  • @roseofdeborah I just googled wild salsa and it's really close to the hotel that my guests are staying at.  Going to try it this weekend with the FI.

You guys are awesome.  I think there is a blue mesa downtown too, has anyone had any expereinces with them?

<div>I'm a concierge downtown, so I've tried a ton of places down here. There's not a blue mesa, only downtown mexican like that is Iron Cactus, Sol Irlandes, El Fenix, RJ's Mexican (not recommended), and Monicas Aca y Alla (They have live salsa music on the weekends and a private area, which if you guys are more vibrant of a group would be fun)</div>
