Bride/Uncle first dance help

I'm not having a father/daughter dance, Im having a bride/Uncle dance instead, & Im looking for a good song...suggestions???

    Go with something that has meaning for you two. Maybe start by looking at songs by his favorite band/singer?

    Or skip it. I'm guessing that you're doing this b/c your father isn't in the picture. You could just skip the spotlight dances with parents or parent figures if this is a weird situation and just ask your uncle to dance at some point in the night. Just a thought.

    Has he always been a major presence in your life? If so, then I think the Beatles "In my Life" or The Byrds "Turn Turn Turn" would be appropriate and very lovely.

    I agree with the first poster...Go for a song that means alot for both of you or is by his favorite artist or group...If he is your father figure for whatever reason how about Brad Paisley's He Didn't Have To Be?

    Thanks for the ideas, heres some added info...yes hes been there all my life, no I dont have a relationship with my "real" dad. My Uncle has always been a rock & roll kinda guy, so nothing too cheesy
