Fi and I both love the Beatles, and are having a few of the band members from our reception play during our ceremony. I was thinking of accoustic guitar playing "Blackbird" either as I walk down the isle or as we leave together. The melody of the song is beautiful and timeless, but I recently learned the meaning behind the song really has to do with the civil rights struggles of the 1960s. Most people I beleive do not know the deeper meaning behind the lyrics, since I've also seen this song listed on parent/child dance songs for receptions. Would an accoustic performance of this song would be inappropriate during the ceremony?
