Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music Discussions

First Dance

Now, my hubby isn't very inclined to dance, and aside from Zumba, I have two left feet myself. My sister-in-law had her reception a few ago, and she did the "Titanic song", plus then some silly beat song ("a la surprise"0, and she is a dance instructor.

What can I do to make it a memorable dance, but not repeat the in-law? 2-3 minutes of slow-dancing to a romantic song does seem rather boring...

If neither of you are inclined to dancing, I would go boring and sway. Your first dance doesn't have to be memorable to anyone but you and your H. Honestly, it'll be the only few minutes you get to spend "alone"  until the reception is over, so take advantage of it.

Ditto the the pp. If you guys are not big dancers I would stick to something comfortable for you guys. I think it would be a little uncomfortable for you guys to dance something not in the norm!

I would do the sway thing and perhaps to a cute song like "I wanna grow old with you" by Adam Sandler or "Waitin on a woman" or "Little Moments" by Brad Paisley. I'm sure he could dip you for a big juicy one at the end. But the thing that's going to make it memorable is you two and that moment of bliss that you just got married, how you look at each other and that you two are together as if you are the only two in the room. Have fun!
