Help with father daughter dance?

So my father and i dont have a close relationship, but i love him dearly. He's done alot to provide for me and my family.

Im kind of stuck on ideas of what our father daughter song should be.

I really like the song Yellow by cold play but im not sure if its father daughter apropriate.

Then there is fix you and the scientist by cold play as well.

Can you guys maybe suggest some songs based on what a mentioned above.

Also what is our opinion on the song Yellow? I love it, but like i said im not sure if its father daughter apropriate.

I have been DJing 10 years, and in my opinion - It's your day, so whatever song you want is fine, as long as your dad agrees. Now as far as the songs: (first nice taste in music with Coldplay   ) The lyrics to Yellow could be about someone you are in love with or just someone you love. As for the Scientist, I think that this song is lyrically acceptable and depending on you and your dad, could be meaningful -  and the song is very nice (I would probably pick this one)

I love the song yellow by coldplay, but to be honest it seems more like a song for a close father daughter relationship. they way I understand the lyrics is that it saying that he will do anything for her.

But if I think if you love it go for it. I am going with Sweet child o mine by Guns n Roses, because even though we arent super close I always had him in my life and I will always be his baby girl, and its more suitable to the type of music we like (both my dad and I are not into county/sappy music)

I am planning on dancing to "Kind and Generous" by Natalie Merchant with my dad.  I like the pace, keeps it light and fun, expresses what I would like to say to him, and I am thinking about bringing the rest of my family up towards the end of the song.

im not that close with my father either but just like you he does alot for me and mr fiance.  if i ever needed him i know hes be there so i choose I Loved Her FIrst by Heartland..its not too mushy of a song...
