Father Daughter Dance - help!!

Hi everyone,

My wedding is in 10 days (eek!) and I still haven't picked a father/daughter dance song! I was originally going to pick "I Cross My Heart" by George Strait (dad was a big country fan) but I thought it might be too romantic for a father/daughter dance. Here are the lyrics:

My other thought is "If Tomorrow Never Comes" by Garth Brooks. http://www.lyricsfreak.com/g/george+strait/i+cross+my+heart_20059568.html I don't want to do anything like Butterfly Kisses or other songs I've never heard. 

I also really like "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, but not sure if it's good to dance to. Also, I don't want to piss off my SIL who used it at her wedding. I like the original "What a Wonderful World" but feel like it's overdone.

Thoughts??

Honestly, I would go with whatever song sounds closest to you and your dad.

Those are just some ideas. But, I think the dance is really more about the moment of you and your father dancing than the song that's choosen.

I saw a video of a father/daughter duo dancing to "My Girl" - it was a little lighthearted (maybe too much for your taste, based on your other choices), but it was really cute and easy to dance to. Good luck!

I think "Butterfly  Kisses" Bob Carlisle is adorable!  That will probably by my father/daughter dance song.

you have to check out ray allaire, a song for my daughter. this is my choice my mom cries everytime she listens to it!

There is a song by Paul Simon called "Father and Daughter." It makes me cry every time I hear it. It's all about a father protecting a daughter from the scary things in life and how he will always love her, it's beautiful.

My dad is a huge country music fan, so I'm using "I Loved Her First" by Heartland, but "You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Adkins was a close second.
