Processional/Recessional Songs the Can be SUNG by a soloist

We are getting married outside, and do not have the funds to pay for any professional violinists, etc. 

But, we do have friends that can sing. Our friend has offered to sing me down the aisle, but I don't know what to ask him to sing! He is not a professional singer, but he is pretty good. He does mostly R&B [or HipHop/Pop]. 

Any ideas of a song I can have sung down the aisle? Are there songs where the tempo kind of picks up at one part [to change it up for the bride]? Remember, this would have to be a song that needs no instrumental accompaniment-- a one-man show!

In that vein if you have any ideas for a recessional [or does everyone just cheer and there is no music?], or a piece to be sung by a different friend as a musical selection for the ceremony [who also sings mostly R&B] would be nice.

well i'm not sure about the R&B bit, this is  assuming that your friends can swap styles, my FSIL had someone sing 'better' by tom baxter as she walked down the aisle.  It was beautiful, and the song makes me cry a bit to this day.

Do you have a friend who plays guitar?  There is usually someone in a group of friends who has dabbled with guitar and can play something simple.  There are several songs you could do with guitar accompaniment that would work outdoors:
- All I Know - Garfunkel
- Over the Rainbow (yes, up for debate as a wedding song but a beautiful piece)
- Man & Wife - Michelle Featherstone
- More than Words - Extreme
