shortened songs for processional?

so i am walking down the aisle by myself, and have no bridal party or anything. i'm thinking about songs to use for the processional and it seems like it would only play for like, the less-than-30-seconds it'll take me to get from the door to the non-altar. do you think that is that going to be weird??

Our procession for the reception was to "Praise You" by Fat Boy Slim.  It is a long song but you could do only a 30 second clip.  We had a really small/quick processional and it totally worked.

is someone playing it, or is it an ipod/recording?  If you have something like a piano, you can choose a classical piece to walk into, and the musician can fade it into background music after you get to the 'non-altar'?  I'm walking into clair de lune, and hate the fact that the music will stop once i get there, so we're having him keep playing, but softer. haha

    Hi,

Any good musician will be able to tailor the song to your procession. This shouldn't be a problem if you have a live band. I don't know if you're looking for something traditional or more contemporary but the link below will give you some ideas.

If music is live, negotiate with performers a short, tasteful section/song; you can also have the music begin a few seconds before walking.
