Fake eyelashes

i'm wanting to try fake eyelashes.
can anyone recommend a brand (and where you bought them)?
do you re-use them? (if so, how do you store/clean them?)
do you put mascara on them after you put them on (if so, how do you re-use them if you do)?

any other tips/suggestions are welcome!!!

My MUA used them on my during my makeup trial. I don't know the brand that she used, but she said that they blanded enough with my natural lashes that she didnt need to use mascara. She said she only used mascara over fake lashes when they needed a little help to blend. As for reuse, she said I could reuse them if i bought lash glue.. she didnt say anything about cleaning them. I think she said they could be used 3 times?

My MUA artist used them on me for my Engagement pictures.  She's a MAC person and she actually bought them from CVS for me (she had MAC lashes too, but they were a bit too long for me).  She said they were cheaper and worked just as good.  Yes, she put the mascara on them (I don't think it is required though).  She said I could re-use them if I wanted to, but I wouldn't wear them except for photo stuff anyways, so I didn't re-use mine.

I like the ones from Sephora.  That's where my MUA got mine.  No mascara needed for me but I have seen them use it before so maybe its like PP said and if they blend well you don't need it.  I can reuse mine up to 5 times.  My MUA just said to be sure all the old glue is off when reusing them.  I love them and they are more comfortable than I thought they'd be!

I usually used the ones from Walmart for special occassions like a birthday or something b/c Im cheap like that :)

But my MUA recommended Ardell brand lashes, style babies, you can get them from Sally's Beauty Store.

With fake lashes it is best to use black glue, put them on and then apply mascara so that they fuse together and make them look more like your own.

And yes you can reuse them although like MissAngel said unless you go out to special events a lot you probably wont find any use for them again :)

I use MAC lashes. they have a special adhesive that is great and has a very long shelf life.. i think i get quite a few wears out of them. They also come in a lot of different looks depending on how much drama you want.

You can put mascara on them - and take off with eye makeup remover.

I recently got lash extensions from lash lounge -- which is semi-permanent... no taking off needed. and you just fill them once a month or so. I love them!! They are dramatic but look really natural. But a bit pricey. They had a great groupon a couple of weeks ago.

Courtney used fake lashes on me at my trial, did she not use them on you? I have no clue what brand, that was the first time I had used fake eyelashes before. She put on mascara after she applied them.

i opted for no eyelashes, but now i'm thinking about it. as far as my makeup for the wedding... i think i'm going to do my own eyes and have her airbrush me only. i don't really want to pay more for another trial... though i could change my mind again!!!

For my engagement pics, we did little half lashes just on the outer halves of my eyelids. Since I never wear falsh eyelashes, the effect was really dramatic, to me.

She did the individual lashes on me, and they looked great. FI loved them.

Like some of the others said MAC has some great ones. My favorites are #4.    If you go to the MAC Pro store in Northpark they have the black glue. I always put all of my eye makeup including eyeliner and mascra before putting on the lashes.  Oh and if you buy the ones at MAC they will put them on you and teach you how do once you get home you aren't lost.
