I'm getting married in October 2012, outside on a farm. My fiance and I both love country music, and so do our friends and families. That being said, we also want a fun, sweet blend of Sinatra/Gershwin/Porter oldies and a handful of other songs that we love or are meaningful to us (from Gene Kelly to Spin Doctor's Two Princes to Beyonce's Crazy in Love!). We're thinking slower more neutral songs during dinner and just after, and then when everyone's looking to dance, shift to the rowdier music

We just had our first meeting with a DJ that came VERY highly recommended, and I feel really discouraged because he basically told us that everyone hates country music, and why would you want to torture your guests that way?? I know not everyone likes it, but I know that our guests do - and while I don't want it to dominate the entire night, I don't want a DJ who assumes everyone hates it. And I also don't want to have teach someone the difference between George Strait and Taylor Swift...
Does anyone know of a DJ in the Princeton, NJ area who is familiar with country music and would actually be willing to
listen to my fiance and I when we describe what want to hear at our wedding? Thank you so much!!!
