Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music Discussions

Need only one or two musicians for ceremony!

I am lost here. Our budget will only permit for one or two musicians for our D.W. We are only having a 20 minute ceremony, so we would only need them for the processional and recessional. Do we hire a harpist, guitarist, etc.? I know that it depends on our tastes, but if anyone knows what would work best, please let me know.

Although you generally get the quality that you pay for, hiring a smaller ensemble is a good idea if you are on a budget. I would not hire fewer than 2 musicians if you have over 50 attendees. Remember, musicians have to eat too!

we choose a harpist...it sounds beautiful and they can play an amazing amount of songs.  i used gigmasters to find her, but it turns out she is married to a guy i went to high school with, talk about a small world.  we also picked the harp bc my fiance is irish, so it was fitting.
try youtubing one song you know you want and see how it sounds with a single instrument.  a violin soloist would also be really nice.
