    Why wouldn't you let him sing if he wants to sing?

  • I'm not sure "let" is the best word, since it's his decision, but personally I find either the bride or groom doing any performances at the wedding to be distasteful.  With the exception of tastefully choreographed dances, I think they tend to come across as (often unintentionally) showoff-y or AW-ish.
