Father/Daughter AND Mother/Son Dance

We decided to dance with our parents at the same time to ONE song and avoid people being bored out of their minds. Sorry, but every wedding I've been to, its the least exciting part in my opinion. ANYWAY... Does anyone have a suggestion for a song that would be appropriate? Preferable a more recent song, nothing really cheesy... We aren't really the sappy type and I don't see myself as a "Butterfly Kisses" kind of girl. Thanks all!! :-)

    If you're willing to go a little older, Through the Years by Kenny Rogers or Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion. I like the Trace Adkins song too.

    Thx for suggestions! If we can't find a song that fits both I guess we can just do separate ones... We could always not do them back-to-back to give people a breather!

    There are plenty of really good songs for that and I think its a really good idea - people do get bored!

    My first thought is to ask them what their wedding songs were and maybe play one of those.  Check out my blog for a ton of great song ideas  http://allaroundraleighdj.blogspot.com/
