Non-Traditional Music....Need Feedback!

Hi everyone! I am having a beach wedding in April. My FI and I have been searching music and we both think it would cool to go the non-traditional route. Check out my tentative play-list below.

Jack Johnson                                       Better Together
Ray LaMontagne & Damien Rice          To Love Somebody
Van Morrison                                       Someone Like You
Warren Haynes                                    Into the Mystic
Micheal Buble                                       Crazy Love
Adele                                                    To Make you feel my love
Train                                                    Marry Me

James Taylor                                        How Sweet it is

All of these songs will be played in the non-instrumental version...I wanted words! I'm walking my parents/grandparents in on Adele's and my MOH and myself will walk in to Marry Me. My FI and I will leave to How Sweet it is.

Please tell me what you think. I am a traditional person, and always thought I would go the traditional route, but these songs are us. I'm really loving it and would just like some unbiased opinions!

Re: Non-Traditional Music....Need Feedback!

  • I like your idea.  I'm also going non-traditional songs and think it'll make it fun!

  • We are using non-traditional music as well.  I think it fits us better as a couple. I'm looking forward to it! :)
  • I like it. My fiance and I are using country music mostly.

  • Our reception is definitely non-traditional.  Think alternative/punk/rockabilly music.  Reverend Horton Heat, Rocket from the Crypt, Weezer, the Descendents, Tom Waits...we also threw in some Beatles, Chuck Berry, Sinatra, and some classical music.  Glad to see I'm not the only one with eclectic taste ;0)
