music for beach wedding?

what are some of the options i have for music on the beach? besdies paying someone to actually play an instrument im on a budget i want to use cd, ipod, laptop is this possible??

We paid our DJ to take care of it for us.  He only charged us an extra $75 or $100.  I'm really glad we did too because I don't think there is any way anybody would have heard music coming from average speakers, with the sound from the ocean and the wind.

I would say if you want to use an ipod/laptop to have someone man the station for you. Do you have any friends or friends of friends that would do it just for the free food or for a really minimal price? That way you don't have to worry about what songs are playing when. Also, I agree about the speakers. I would say invest in finding some good equipment because if you can't hear the music, its completely pointless
