Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music Discussions

Tell me your songs please!

OK ladies, tell me what songs you're using for your wedding & ceremony!  I love hearing what other people are using.  Right now I have ideas for about half of the music, but I'm still clueless on other songs.  So tell me what you're using for processional, bridal march, recessional, reception entrance, cake cutting, father/daughter dance - everything!  (Or as much as you want to tell :) )

Thanks in advance!!

All of our music are either original pieces or original arrangements.  Saw a pianist perform on the Ellen show and hired him to play.  He's really fantastic - he actually created a "wedding" version of Thriller hahaha.

@rascal17 - "I've Just Seen a Face" is my favorite! And no one ever plays it because it wasn't a single! I'd totally applaud extra hard during your entrance just for that! Laughing

This is going to be my second wedding...  so instead of the wedding march, I'm walking down the isle to "Marry Me" by Train....  I'm sure this will be the most over played wedding song of the decade but my fiance played it for me the day after he proposed so it's special to me and that's all I care about!  Our song, from the very beginning....  was Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.  That will be our first dance.  This time, it's all about US and NOT about the wedding party, parents, or anyone else but us!

    Church Precession - "Butterfly Waltz"
First Dance - "You Can" - David Archuleta  OR  "To Be With You" - David Archuleta (LOVE David Archuleta!)

Thoes are the only two that i have figured out yet, but  i'm a big fan of classical music for entrances and such.

Op thanks for posting!  i loved reading all these answers, great ideas!

we're dancing to something by elvis tbd - has to be slightly uptempo so we can tango.

also i'm a huge gleek so i'm trying to convince FI to use the glee version of bruno mars' "i think i wanna marry you".  wish me luck!!
