Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music Discussions

are you gonna kiss me or not

I have been trying to figure out what song the BP should walk down to and what song I should walk to... I'm very non traditional in the music aspect... I was thinking i would walk to Etta James "at last" but the more I listen to it I don't like it to walk the aisle to.

I decided I want the BP to walk to "Are you gonna kiss me or not" by Thompson Square.

The more I listen to it the more perfect it sounds... it starts from the beginning and goes to them saying I do..

Just wanted to get some other opinions! What do you girls think???

I said the bride only.  I love this song!
We are using it for our first dance.. I am also non traditional when it comes to the music.  I will be walking down the aisle to Marry Me by Train and my bridal party will be walking to Building a Family by Mark Isham.

Back to the topic at hand, I think this would a be perfect song for just the bride to walk down the aisle!  :)

Some things to consider... how long is your aisle?  Mine was exactly 22 of my normal steps.  It took me less than a minute to get to the front  and the only reason it took that long is because I stopped half way, my hubby came to me and then we walked the rest of the way together.

Do you want to wait at the front of the church just standing there while the song finishes? Are you ok if the song is stopped halfway through when you get to the front?

If you have a long song, you might want to consider having the entire wedding party walk in to the same song to avoid those issues.  That's what we did and it worked out really well :)

I actually am getting married in my backyard so the "aisle" can be as long or short as I'd like to make it.  :)

Plus we have 4BMs and 4 GM walking together, a junior BM that will probably walk with my ushers, ring bearors, flower girls and then my dad and I going...

This is why I'm not sure... My fiance likes the wording but not the actual song  that much because he isnt a country fan... not that he could make a different suggestion lol

    I'm stuck :/

We both love that song. It's a great new classic! Use it if you love it too.
