Dance with my dad

I emailed my dad last night to ask him if he had any song in mind he would like for our dance at the wedding. He kind of surprised me with a quick response, but it was a pleasant surprise. I'm glad he seems so excited about this part of the wedding because he always seems so serious. And this will be a special dance for us, so I'd like to use one of his suggestions. He mentioned 3 different songs though, so I thought I'd poll which one to use.

Isn't "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" about an LSD trip?  I would definitely stay away from that one.

Yeah that's what I thought it was too, so was surprised when my dad suggested it.

I love All You Need is Love. I actually had my bridesmaids walk out to a piano version of that song.

Another good father/duaghter song by The Beetles is In My Life. My dad and I danced to that song. I told him to pick the song and surprise me. My dad is a huge Beetles fan, so it was fitting and such a great song. I tear up when I hear it now.

Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds is actually a song about a picture that John Lennon's son drew...when he asked his son what it was, he said it was Lucy (a girl in his class), in the sky with diamonds. The only reason it got the LSD rep is because of the initials and probably because it was on the Sgt. Pepper album...So don't let the LSD rumors sway you! 

As for the dance song, I like 'All You Need is Love', and 'In My Life' is also quite beautiful.
